Valencia Basket tests its improvement on the Iberostar Tenerife’s court

Valencia Basket has traveled this morning to the Canary Islands to visit the court of the Iberostar Tenerife in a Endesa League round 9 game (Saturday 17, 18:00h, Santiago Martín, Movistar Deportes). After two home-wins in a row vs. Baxi Manresa and Turk Telekom Ankara, the taronja squad will look to extend its good moment of results on a court that has always been good to it in the past (it has prevailed in its eight visits in Liga Endesa). Although it fell defeated against this rival in the last confrontation between them outside the Fonteta (in quarterfinals of 2018 Copa del Rey).

 

The presence of captain Rafa Martínez for the first time in a displacement this season is the great novelty of a call in which Guillem Vives has also entered in spite of having missed the game last Wednesday due to a right back pain. Although it gradually incorporates practicing, playmaker Antoine Diot is still not available for coach Jaume Ponsarnau, like the injured Joan Sastre. In a game in which Sam Van Rossom can enter the top ten scorers in Club’s history, Jaume Ponsarnau and Juan Maroto will meet for the first time with the coach who were champions of the 2017 Endesa Supercup, Txus Vidorreta, now in front of the black and yellow team. Valencia Basket currently occupies the seventh position of the Endesa League, with a 4-4 in the standings.
